DANCERS OR CHEERLEADERS: If I stretch every day, when should I get my splits?

There really isn't a set time when you are going to get those splits, just stay dedicated and persevere. When you are in a stretch don't like bounce up and down, if you understand what I'm saying. Stay there. It is going to hurt but this is the only way you are going to improve. Hold each split for at least a minute and all your other stretches for about 15 seconds. The least stretching should take you is 15 minutes. You will know if you are becoming more flexible because the back of your knees will hurt. If you have a pulled muscle DON'T OVER USE IT! All that will only make it worse. Keep slowly stretching it though and don't force anything upon it.
