Itchy, watery, gooey, red eyes. Could this be from allergies?

I've always had allergies this time of year, my eyes would only get watery and itchy and i'd get a sore throat. On tuesday however, i started getting really itchy eyes, i woke up on wednesday with crust al over my eyelashes and eyes, it was hard for me to open my eyes. My eyes are someone red, and it feels like somethings in it if i touch it a lot, which i know i shouldnt be, but they're so itchy :( i even get these weird booger looking things coming out of the corners of my eyes, and sometimes it goes over my eye ball. My eyes look a bit puffy, and they are constantly watery to the point where some tears come out. When i look at a light it almost seems all hazy around the light. Im going to the doctors tomorrow hoping that they'll give me eye drops or something for it. Do you think they are just allergies?
