West Coast Or East Coast?

I am currently taking a 3 month trip around the USA..... I am deciding to go to the West Coast or East Coast..... the East Coast looks fun because they have New York City, Philadelphia, Trenton and more but the West Coast looks fun to.... they have Los Angeles, Seattle, Phoenix, Portland..... Which would you choose?
