Brown Discharge? Might be miscarrying!?

Is it possible this could be due to something else? I have been told I may be miscarrying at 9 weeks as fetus still looks 6weeks 4days & there couldnt see heartbeat. I have no symptoms of a miscarrige & at 7 weeks the hospital saw heartbeat. So nothing makes sense.. For the past month however I have had brown sometimes yellow discharge it looks kinda like a booger, && I notice it after I have a bowel movement... Could it be due to something else?
