Slimy bloody discharge first day of period is it normal?

I have had periods beore but only this time this morning i had very little pink blood when I wiped then next time which was hours later I had stringy slimy bloody dicharge is that normal? Also yesterday when i went to the restroom i wiped an it was a white thick like booger looking thing it really scared me. I get embarrassed talking about this but I need to know!! Thx
