Your Dad has made very poor choices, I agree however, he is your Dad. Hate is a very strong word although when we're hurting as you are, we feel as if we hate though we don't. We're hurt deeply, not understanding why he took this path.To put all the blame on this woman that he cheated with is a natural feeling. We have to face the facts, it takes two to tangle and being an adult, I doubt seriously if she forced him into drugs, he's a big boy. I feel sorry for her and your Dad because personally, I don't think this relationship stemming from an affair will go anywhere.When your Dad sobers up (he will sooner or later) and realizes that he has lost everyone that loved him the most, will be a time of devastation for him, scars he'll have to live with for the rest of his life.Try to be strong for your Mom knowing that she's hurting as well.I'm sorry for you, your Sister, Mom and Great Grandmother.Love him even if it has to be from a distance and that's the case for many, because this bitterness will eat you up inside. Don't let yourself be robbed of the happiness that you so deserve.
