Going to SF, Portland & Seattle. How many days for each city?

I've decided to travel to San Francisco, Portland (OR) and Seattle this August for some holiday fun, sightseeing and shopping. I would like to spend a total of 2 weeks visiting all three cities but how many days would be enough for each one?

Your use of the phrase 'small talk' is not correct here. The very definition of the phrase is that it's NOT intrusive. It's the small things in life that people don't care about sharing. Favorite movies, music, sports, hobbies and the weather can all be classified as small talk. Something as personal as 'Are you a virgin?' NOT small talk. And yes I do think those kinds of questions are rude and very uncomfortable. Most likely the person asking has some social issues.

Getting back together for the kids- Military?

I have an incredible friend who is torn right now. He left his 12 year marriage 5 years ago to be with another woman. (Not me, I am just his friend) but they broke up last year. He stayed very close with his 3 daughters aged now 8-13, and friendly now with his ex wife. (they never divorced due to military benefits) the issue is now, he is seriously considering reconciling with his ex wife, living together as a family for the sake of the girls- but not 'together' (he said that part of the marriage is dead and buried.) I want him to seek therapy- as does he, but due to his very senior ranking in the military it is not possible for him to seek therapy without it potentially tarnishing his record. He is suffering with doubt and confusion as he adores his daughters, and is concerned that him not living with them will damage them in the future, as well as the fact they do not have a Dad in their day to day life. The Mum has not re partnered, and is obviously open to the idea of reconciling 'for the kids'. Obviously I do not know the nitty gritty, but he is really struggling, and I am hoping someone out there can help, as he needs it. Even another voice and opinion, as he has no one to discuss this with, and has little experience with divorce etc. I have plenty of opinions on the matter, growing up as a child of divorce, as well as being divorced and having a grown child. Again, I am not vested in this situation, from a romantic viewpoint, he is my friend, I just want him to be happy, and I do not think he can see straight regarding the matter, and my personal opinion is that he could do more damage going back, having the girls have him, seeing a loveless marriage and him possibly leaving again> Thoughts, much appreciated, from all viewpoints. FYI- the girls are being beautifully raised, provided for etc and are very well adjusted, and he sees them as much as humanly possible- between missions etc.

I assume you're referring to Portland, Oregon. Despite the fact that it's cloudy a lot, it actually gets much less rain than Miami does even though Miami is considered a sunny city. Portland gets around 37 inches a year while Miami averages around 60.

I've always had allergies this time of year, my eyes would only get watery and itchy and i'd get a sore throat. On tuesday however, i started getting really itchy eyes, i woke up on wednesday with crust al over my eyelashes and eyes, it was hard for me to open my eyes. My eyes are someone red, and it feels like somethings in it if i touch it a lot, which i know i shouldnt be, but they're so itchy :( i even get these weird booger looking things coming out of the corners of my eyes, and sometimes it goes over my eye ball. Hi, should I change my perspective on people? Here's my situation..?

I always find myself to be the guy who's looking to chat with friends, etc.. and make new ones, whether at school or in outside activities. But I find it rare that people have sought me out to genuinely see how I'm doing or ask to meet up to hang out. I find this happened in the workplace too (I'm currently in between jobs). I feel a bit tired of searching people out and saying "hey want to do this or that - hit a pub, etc.." since I find myself the one who asks this often. I have seen some 'friends' answer back with a certain "I guess..sure" answer (they don't reply with an uplifting tone). And sometimes some people don't even reply back or I have to contact them multiple times (email, telephone) before they confirm. So, yeah it does look kind of sad. Actually, not even kind of. My question thus is: should I stop 'taking the initiative' and see, next time, if my 'friends' or 'colleagues' call the first shot in regard to making plans to get together? I don't want to be anti-social, especially now, since as a job hunter, I hear from career coaches that networking is the number way to land a position these days. But at the same time, I don't want to feel that I'm this annoying friend of someone's. I don't want to be that guy who when one picks up the phone or reads his email, the person is thinking 'oh man, not him... ". I think this observation is triggering the idea in my head to consider looking for new buddies. I look forward to your input.

I would wash it gently with Hibiclens. It's an antiseptic cleanser. You can get it at the drug store although i'm not sure how much it is. Alcohol will disinfect it but it won't promote healing. Peroxide can be used but only once a day. Neosporin isn't recommended because it's petroleum based and will clog the piercing hole which keeps it from draining. Use a water based version, like a cream. Also, do not touch it with unwashed hands and DO NOT take the piercing out! If you remove the ring before the infection is gone it may close up and it will not have a way to drain. This could cause an abscess. And of course, if it doesn't seem better in 1-2 days, call your doctor.

33 Weeks, At Risk For Preterm Labor && Not Sure Whats Going On... :/?

I am 33 weeks, and 3 days pregnant. I have been to the hospital twice so far, for preterm labor. I've been 1 cm dilated, and 50% effaced for a week now, maybe more the last time I got checked was on Sunday. I've gotten the shots for contractions, and I've gotten the steroid shot for baby's lungs. I am currently on moderate bed rest. Well the past 2 days, I've been having some stronger-then-they-were-before contractions, and some menstrual like cramping. They feel different, but from what I've read, contractions can feel like period cramps too? I think I also lost some of my mucous plug this morning. I was taking a shower, and when I looked down, I saw this brown, bloody, tinted, snotty booger looking thing. My question is, should I be concerned about this since Im only 33 weeks, and at risk? Is this normal to be happening now? Has anyone else been through this? I know I can call my doctors, but I just wanted to see what you all thought. Thanks in advance for all your help!

Clear sticky gel like blob of discharge after I wipe? Please help?

Hey I've been searching the internet but can't seem to find any answers so please help me if you have any idea what I possibly am going through. This morning after I pee and wiped, I noticed a clear sticky gel like blob of discharge that resembles the mucous part of a booger. There is no foul smell and it doesn't itch or irritate me. I read online that the girls who also has this gel like discharge is not on the birth control pill and the vagina is self cleansing and they are close to ovulation time or are ovulating. I however, am on the birth control bill Lutera for almost a year now and Ive never had this before. Usually, I have clear watery discharge if not sometimes sticky and thick. But today it is a blob of gel like mucous that i can actually remove from the toilet paper and hold between my fingers and it worries me. I'm on the pill therefore I should not be ovulating so why is it this thick and gooey?? Is this normal? Anyone else is on the pill and experiencing this? Please answer my question if you can. Nutered cat still humping?

So I have a cat named Booger. He is nutured. He's about seven or eight now. Booger has never been playful for being Persian, just very sweet. But about a year and a half ago I got a kitten. Nose Piercing Helpp, Just got it done!?

I got my nose done yesterday and I absolutely LOVE it. I was never told cleaning instructions for it and I was told to turn it a few times a day to make sure the skin didn’t heal to tight around the stud.. I have an L shaped stud and I hate it. When is too early to change the stud? It makes me look like I have a booger hanging out my nose and I always feel like I need to blow my nose when really it’s just the stud rubbing against the inside.. My real question though is that when I look at it, there’s dry blood around the gem part of the stud, and it almost looks like it is sinking into my nose.. Is this normal at all? I didn’t have it pierced with the gun, just a needle and it didn’t hurt much.. I’ve forgotten about it a few times and rubbed my nose which hurt alot, and sleeping doesn’t help it much either.. Should I just put a round bandage on it when I sleep.. but put a bit of cleaning stuff in the pad inside the bandage so it cleanses it while I sleep?

Can a CTI in the Navy be stationed in Oregon?

I will be attending DLI starting in November this year. DANCERS OR CHEERLEADERS: If I stretch every day, when should I get my splits?

There really isn't a set time when you are going to get those splits, just stay dedicated and persevere. When you are in a stretch don't like bounce up and down, if you understand what I'm saying. Stay there. It is going to hurt but this is the only way you are going to improve. Hold each split for at least a minute and all your other stretches for about 15 seconds. The least stretching should take you is 15 minutes. You will know if you are becoming more flexible because the back of your knees will hurt. If you have a pulled muscle DON'T OVER USE IT! All that will only make it worse. Keep slowly stretching it though and don't force anything upon it.

38 weeks and 2 days, 2nd baby,?

Can we buy an RV and live in it 100% of the time and claim it as our first home on taxes?

My wife and I just fond out that we need to move, in two (2) months, out of the home we've been renting for 3 yrs because the owners main house is bring foreclosed upon and they want to move in to the one we are in. We have been getting our finances and credit in order to buy a first home of our own this year but wont be ready for another 6month or so. We have been considering strongly of buying an RV as our first home in the interim, and living in it at a local trailer park until we can buy a permanent home. With the added financial liability this puts on my credit, I assume that it will extend the amount of time it will take us to purchase a home.. my question is: Can the RV be our 1st home (tax question) and the space rental payments deducted somehow? ... and the permanent home we purchase (hopefully before the end of this year) be our second home in regards to tax purposes? Family care plan separation...retirement years...E-5?

I've served for 13 years and four deployments. After my last tour my wife of 13 years decided she wanted nothing more to do with me or our children. She was apparently very lonely while i was away and moved in with her current boyfriend before we are even completely divorced. As far as family care plans are concerned...well I don't have one. After her business my cat never smells pleasant and about her eyes?

My 6 month old kitten after she does her business she smells like poop. How do I get rid of that odor? and is it normal for a cat to poop a lot. I clean up her litter box and by night time it gets full!!! Today it got a little full so when she was trying to hide her poop in the litter it got on the towel and she covered it up with the towel. Do you think I should be talking to an attorney in regards to my Newborn Son's care at the Hospital?

My Son is 2 months old. From the moment my Son was born I saw a sacral dimple on my Son's spine and his left foot is slightly deformed (hip Dysplasia). So for the past couple years I wake up on most days with some crap in the back of my throat. I am pretty sure it is coming from my nose and not my lungs or throat. I have been tested for hundreds of allergens but I am not allergic to any, yet I constantly have excess mucous in the back of my throat most likely from my nose. It can be quite annoying, and is always the worst in the morning. I do not smoke although i used to smoke one or two cigarettes a week in the past. Anyone know what this is and how I can avoid it?

For a gaming computer, you'd be better off getting an i5 2500k. It even beats the i7 990x when it comes to gaming. It's the best gaming chip available and it's such greatly priced. So you'd need a good lga 1155 p67 motherboard. It also overclocks so easily and can reach 4.5ghz on air. It'll be much cheaper and better than any i7 for gaming. Also, I like SSD's but their price doesn't justify their performance e for me. Yea you can put the OS on the ssd and shave like 8 seconds off boot time, but that isn't worth it in my opinion. Save the money and get a better video card like the 560 ti.

I Scraped my knee! Please Help Me :( !?

so i scraped my knee on 5/13/11 but the nurse helped clean it up, but then some jean fabric got underneath the bandage nd i think that irritated it since the scrape was still moist.. anyway over the past few days it had some yellowish green booger looking goo over it but that eventually hardened. my dad says that's normal but i don't think so. today it was oozing a orangey yellow fluid that looked like egg yolk! also, it hurts around the scrape. it's very sore. so today when i put the antibiotic on it it moistened again so i wiped it off the green booger stuff and fabric came out but now the area that was covered in the hardened goo is fleshy pink with some red in it ! but the outer edges are still dry and scabby. o.0 should i not have scraped off that boogery gunk ? cause i think that's an obvious sign it's infected ! is it ? and what can i do to help a scab reform ? and also i'm pretty sure this is going to scar so are there any cheap products you know of that fade or reduce the appearance of scars?

I currently had interview with this company that provides security systems internationally and i could tell that it went well since i was told about the salary, schedules, training days etc. I was called June 15, 2011 to set me up for an interview for June 17,2011.. so I finished the interview on June 17,2011 and i signed a criminal record check and was told that I would being my 5 hour orientation when i get the criminal check result which is in 5 days after the interview. Brown stuff in my underwear?

Hello, so I recently (almost 2 months in July 9) got a job at a toy company. I was hired as a Day Porter at this toy company. But I was hired by a facility services company, not the toy company. I was never asked to fill out an application, nothing. They didn't even know y name, phone number, address, NOTHING. They hired me, gave me a job. I accepted because it was my cousins wife's job, so I thought it would be safe. When it came time to pay me (Monthly btw) I was told by the "manager" that I wouldn't be payed until the 26th of June. (I started working may 9 2011) and I was expecting them to pay me May 9 2011- June 26th. That's what the guy told me. When he payed me (gave me a personal check that was labeled House Cleaning Services) I was ONLY payed for the month of may. Turns out they were going to pay me a month behind. meaning they'd owe me a month every month. I didn't like that so I complained and they accused and threatened me. they said "We know you're an illegal immigrant." They insulted me, told me that I was going to fix everything (since I complained to the toy company, I didn't think it was fair that that's toy company was paying the facility service company to hire employees and pay them). Turns out EVERY janitor/day porter is an illegal immigrant. Not me. Even the manager guy who gives out these personal checks. The facility service company contacted me and told me to fix this and basically apologize. They said they knew I was illegal (im not btw wtf) and that I wouldn't want to get involved with homeland security and ice. My question is, is this legal? supposedly the facility company hired sub contractors. Is it legal to know your employees are illegal and still pay them? HELP!

Eagles Nest Wilderness Area and Holy Cross Wilderness Area cover many of the summits I climb, although you can also spend weeks hiking the Fourteeners and high passes along the Continental Divide. At the very least, hike up Grays and Torreys, Elbert or Massive, Bierstadt or Evans.
